hi there,i have had some suggestions that several people would like to see a differant format on wednesday night. suggestions include a theme night with the resident acts, which could range from 50s & 60s country ranging from hank williams  to don williams, jim reeves,  haggard e.t.c. or an elvis night, or maybe anyone you would like the songs to be based on. please let us know via the message board. there will not be a steel guitar show, as we feel it has run its coarse. however we shall have steel on stage with the resident acts.irene has informed me that as soon as carlene carters forthcoming tour dates in feb / march next year become available, i will be one of the first to know.and i will pass them over to steve to publish on the website.

Hi everyone, the latest pics of this years festival are now on site via the message board, i would like to thank wendy and eddie for their photo's  and would like to ask if anyone has any pics of the bar-area  featuring double barrel and natalie diamond and tony dallas. we are working on 2011 at this moment in time and will update as soon as anything  is finalised. thank you to the many friends who contacted me re my back operation, unfortunately it was cancelled at the very  last minute due to an emergancy. Pete steel has left ces  la vie, however they will still be at the ponsmere next year, albeit with a new guitarist. i would like to welcome all the new friends that we met at this years festival including a second cousin i did not know existed until they introduced themselves on saturday night. Cath & Vince Child from  doncaster brought back many family memories.i would also like to congratulate bobby reed on winning the sylvia saunders award this year, and  also dianne wilkinson on winning the sunday night raffle. the trilogy made  a very fitting  end to the festival, and it was good to see jim and mary back with  us again.

all for now.   Barrie & Pat

hiya all, just returned from the ponsmere and would liike to update on major holdups. for our friends driving down from the north there is a 14 mile stretch of roadworks on the m1 from junction 28 to junction 25. although there are three lanes open and a 50 mph speedlimit, should be ok if no accidents occur in the roadworks. usual speed restrictions on m42,  and the most likely hold up will be between junction  17 and 19 on the m5. at bristol. there is roadworks just beyond exeter on the devon expressway ( a38 ) for those who are going via plymouth and there are no problems from the tamar bridge to bodmin.everything is in place for a great weekend and pat and myself are looking forwards to meeting our many friends old and new. all for now.

hi there , pat & myself have been very busy sorting this years festival out this month, we have thought about a few alterations for the staging this year, mainly upstairs in the ballroom. talking to mark ( perfect strangers ) this week who is looking forward to playing with  dave cawse over the weekend, and claire and mark are bringing little jack, and baby charlie ( who will be 1  whilst he is down there with us, )i believe there will be quite a few members booking early in the week to extend their holiday. it will be good to see jim  and mary with us again this year. as i see  the surgeon this monday, 21st. i hope he can fix something up after the festival. cannot even think of missing our 20th.
